Court orders physiotherapy facility for Guru

The Madras High Court on Wednesday directed the Superintendent of the Central Prison, Puzhal here, to provide physiotherapy facility to J.Guru alias Gurunathan, a PMK MLA, who has been detained under the National Security Act (NSA.)

The court passed further orders on a petition by one R.Kaliyaperumal, an advocate.

According to a report of the Dean submitted to the court, Mr.Guru should undergo physiotherapy for a week and be given supportive medicines and he had been advised to come for a review after a week.

Mr.Justice Sasidharan directed the Superintendent of the Central Prison to provide physiotherapy facility for Mr.Guru. The matter has been adjourned by a week.
