Sankar (50), a government surveyor, and his wife Suseela (45) were killed in a road accident near here on Friday night.
Police sources said that when the couple, residing at Vandipalayam here, were returning home on a motorcycle from Puducherry an unidentified truck knocked them down at Periya Kanganankuppam.
Passers-by took them to the Cuddalore Government Hospital, but doctors declared Suseela as brought dead. Though Sankar was immediately referred to the Puducherry Government Hospital, he too succumbed to injuries.
