Quaid-e-Millath Corporation Higher Secondary School at Melapalayam here will soon get six additional classrooms and an office in a new building to be constructed on an outlay of Rs. 1 crore.

Mayor E. Bhuvaneshwari, along with two girl students of the school, laid the foundation stone for the two-storey building.

The Mayor said the new facility, which would be ready in another four months, would be much useful for the 600-odd students of the school and appealed to them to make use of the facilities available to score high marks in the examinations.

Assistant Commissioner of Melapalayam Zone Kavitha, Assistant Executive Engineer L.K. Bhaskar and a few councillors were present.
