Co-optex festival sale begins in Tiruchi

The annual Deepavali festival discount sale of Co-optex began here on Tuesday, with the three Co-optex retail outlets in Tiruchi being fixed a combined sales target of Rs.182 lakh for the season.

During the previous year, the 16 outlets in the Thanjavur region of Co-optex, comprising Thanjavur, Tiruchi, Pudukottai, Karur, Ariyalur and Perambalur districts, had recorded a festival sale of Rs. 533.20 lakh, exceeding the target fixed for the season by Rs.13.20 lakh.

Of this, the three retail outlets of Pothigai, Amudhasurabi and BHEL Co-optex in Tiruchi had recorded a combined sale of Rs.140.89 lakhs. For the current festival season, the three outlets have been fixed a target of Rs.182 lakh, including Rs.111 lakh for the Pothigai Showroom near the Central Bus Stand in Tiruchi.

Collector T. Soundiah inaugurated the festival sale, which would go on till October 13, at the Pothigai Co-optex Showroom on Tuesday and presented the first sale of the season to Punitha Ramesh.
