Co-optex exhibition displays summer wear

The Tamil Nadu Handloom Development Corporation, popularly known as Co-optex has commenced its an exhibition of summer wear at the Town Hall here on Monday.

Styled as `Cool Comforts’, the exhibition has on display artistically designed cotton saris, silk readymade shirts and kurtis.

The array of saris on display include Jayakarthika saris, Sangeeth saris, Kolam saris, Negamam saris, Maharani silk saris, `Ahimsa’ saris, soft silk saris and Kovai Kora silk saris. Other textile varieties on display include Meerut blankets, chudidhars, `Mappillai’ set, readymade shirts and window screens.

N. Balaji, Director, Sri Narayani Hospital and Research Centre, Vellore inaugurated the exhibition in the presence of N. Karthikeyan Nair, Regional Manager, Co-optex, Vellore. The exhibition will be open daily till May 9.
