The Directorate of Government Examinations has announced that an examination control room with helplines will function during the course of the Plus Two and SSLC examinations.
The Plus Two exams for State board students are scheduled to begin on March 2 and the SSLC exams will begin on March 8.
The control room would be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and a helpline would be operational where students or the general public can call in for any information regarding the public exams or to register any grievances they might have.
The helplines are 80125 94114, 80125 94115, 80125 94122 and 90125 94124.
In Chennai District, as many as 53,572 students will be taking the exams in various centres. Flying squads headed by the Chief Educational Officer and Inspectors from various departments will visit centres. About 275 persons from the Education Department will be involved to ensure the smooth conduct of the examinations.
As a part of the security arrangements, armed guards will be posted at the 14 strong rooms in the district from where question papers will be taken to the 145 examination centres.
