The Social Democratic Party of India on Tuesday said that they would intensify the agitation to press the demand for creation of Lok Ayukta in Tamil Nadu.

More protests planned

“We are planning to lay siege to the office of the Regional Transport Officer (Tirupur North) on March 12, and will continue with other forms of protest in the subsequent days,” said Abu Tahir, spokesperson of SDPI.

On Tuesday, the SDPI members formed a human chain in the city stating that the creation of Lok Ayukta was essential to redress the citizens’ grievances.
