If Tamil Nadu wants to enjoy the benefits of different schemes of the Centre, it should have a like-minded government which will cooperate with the Centre. The Centre was keen on ensuring that all the States enjoyed the fruits of its schemes, said Suresh Prabhu, Railway Minister, here on Sunday.

Addressing an election meeting in support of BJP candidates of R. P. Gopinath and N. Annadurai, for Salem North and Salem South constituencies respectively, he said

that like the people of the entire country, the voters of Tamil Nadu too had reposed faith in Narendra Modi during the last Lok Sabha elections.

Mr. Prabhu launched a blistering attack on the Congress, DMK and AIADMK, which ruled Tamil Nadu in the last six decades for ruining the state.

Still they try to cheat people by pleading for yet another chance to rule the state. The agenda of all these three parties is the same - indulging in corrupt and illegal practices for their own benefit.

He said BJP was the lone party wedded to worthy principles and policies in the interest of the nation, and urged the people to utilise the second opportunity to elect a good government to bring prosperity to the State.

The Union Government is implementing various development and welfare schemes in the country and the respective states should take advantage of the same. The Centre has made investments in the departments of Surface Transport, Railways, Coal and Telecommunication in the last two years in different states.

The respective state governments, if interested in the overall development of their states, should take advantage of the same, he said.
