Collector leads the way

Collector Prashant M. Wadnere has made it a regular practice to travel in a government bus for a number of government programmes.

On Wednesday, along with a group of nearly 30 officials Mr. Wadnere embarked on a sixth bus trip for the mass contact programme at Jamunamarathur.

An official said the Collector had earlier travelled by bus twice to Jawadhu Hills for watershed development programmes and three times for mass contact programmes at Puliyur, Nammiyampattu and Vandavasi.

He said the Collector came up with this idea of travelling in a bus so that officials can avoid taking separate vehicles for programmes.
