Collector advises students to visit book exhibition

Books will help students to enrich their knowledge and become good citizens, said Darez Ahamed, District Collector, at Chathiramanai panchayat in Perambalur taluk on Wednesday.

Speaking at the mass contact programme, the Collector said that students should make it a point to visit the book exhibition to be held in Perambalur from January 30 to February 8. Parents should take their wards to the exhibition, the Collector said.

He distributed Rs.6.92-lakh worth benefits to 118 persons at the camp.

He enquired about the 108 ambulance service, functioning of fair price shops, hospitals, drinking water supply, puduvazhvu thittam, and Poverty Eradication Committees.
