Chief Minister Jayalalithaa should travel by road to assess the contributions made by the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam to the people of Tamil Nadu, said M.K. Stalin, DMK treasurer.

He was campaigning in support of Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi leader Thol. Thirumavalavan in Chidambaram constituency on Sunday.

Mr. Stalin termed far from truth Ms. Jayalalithaa’s observation in her election speeches that the DMK had done virtually nothing for the people of Tamil Nadu.

For instance, the railway over-bridge and additional buildings for the government hospitals in Chidambaram were built during the DMK rule. Only when she travelled by road could she see the developments.

Ms. Jayalalithaa was seeking vote for bringing about change at the Centre but what Tamil Nadu was witnessing was the frequent change of Ministers, Mr. Stalin said. He alleged that the law and order in the State had become deteriorated.

Mr Stalin said in the post poll scenario the personage pointed out by DMK chief Karunanidhi would become Prime Minister.
