CM Jayalalithaa to rescue of sexual harassment victim

The victim from Periyakulam taluk had written to the Chief Minister saying that she was an orphan and working as children’s caretaker in a private school.

Chief Minister Jayalalithaa on Wednesday sanctioned a government job and Rs. 5 lakh as solatium to a sexual harassment victim from Theni.

The victim from Periyakulam taluk had written to the Chief Minister saying that she was an orphan and working as children’s caretaker in a private school.

She claimed that a person from E. Pudukkottai in her neighbourhood sexually assaulted her on February 16 last.

After inquiry, Ms. Jayalalithaa sanctioned a government job and granted Rs. five lakh as solatium from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
