CM holds review meets

Chief Minister Jayalalithaa held a series of review meetings at the Secretariat on Sunday with her Cabinet colleagues and higher officials to discuss various issues including the power situation, the delay in getting a Digital Addressable System licence for the Tamil Nadu Arasu Cable TV Corporation and the Cauvery and Parambikulam-Aliyar river water issues.

An official release said the meetings were attended by the Chief Secretary, Finance Minister, Electricity Minister, PWD Minister, Advocate General, Additional Advocate General and officials.

Besides, a meeting was also held to know the preparedness for the 20th Asian Athletics Championship and to consider the demands put forth by Tamil Nadu Archery Association, the release said.
