As part of the Republic Day function, Central Industrial Security Force personnel at Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project showcased their professional competence, skill and versatility through various demonstrations.

The CISF men demonstrated their skill in ‘One-Minute Drill’, ‘Eleven-Minute Drill’, ‘Silent Drill’ and ‘Krav Maga’, a self-defence system and effective street-fighting method evolved by Israeli forces. The main attraction of the event demonstrated by the CISF personnel was the ‘Silent Drill’, which is being followed only by the US Marines. The CISF personnel also demonstrated research-based 11-minute 5 BX (Basic Exercise) – an easy and simple way of keeping oneself fit and healthy – amidst thunderous applause from the audience.

The Republic Day was celebrated at ISRO Propulsion Complex (IPRC) at Mahendragiri. IPRC Director D. Karthikesan unfurled the Tricolour and accepted the Guard of Honour in the presence of CISF Deputy Commandant V.K. Dubey.
