Chief Minister urged to address power crisis

The Southern India Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) on Monday urged Chief Minister Jayalalithaa to immediately address the issue of power and infrastructural facilities to hasten the pace of economic growth of the state.

Industries reeling

According to an official press release, SICCI president A. Vellayan said that immediate steps should be taken for better power management as industries were reeling under the impact of the power crisis.

“During her earlier term, she contributed significantly for the economic growth of Tamil Nadu. This time her vision is to bring about good governance and development to accelerate economic growth with employment, which will ultimately place the State as one of the topmost States in the country. SICCI assures its fullest co-operation and support to fulfil her ambition to bring about economic prosperity,” he said.
