The Chief Judge, Puducherry, T. Ramasamy, who was hitherto handling the Kanchi Sankararaman murder case, has been transferred and posted as Principal District Judge, Perambalur. C.S. Murugan, a former Principal District Judge, Dindigul, who was on compulsory wait, has been posted as the Chief Judge of the Union Territory, according to a Madras High Court notification.
The change comes in the wake of a controversy following a complaint by a city advocate, P. Sundararajan, of August 25 last year in which he alleged that tapes containing conversations that hinted at some financial transactions relating to the murder case had surfaced.
