Cheating plaint against Thirumavalavan

August 25, 2013 03:11 am | Updated 03:12 am IST - COIMBATORE:

D. Kavitha of Ramanathapuram in Coimbatore on Saturday lodged a complaint with the Coimbatore City Police alleging that Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi leader Thol. Thirumavalavan had reneged on the promise of marrying her, and through friends and followers tried to grab her properties.

Ms. Kavitha alleged that a few people, whom she later discovered to be close to Mr. Thirumavalavan, tried to take away her properties in the city. Unable to bear this, she fled to Puducherry and had been living there for sometime.

VCK’s rebuttal

In a statement issued in this regard, the VCK dismissed Ms. Kavitha’s charges. It said that she had lodged similar complaint earlier. Nowhere had she mentioned Mr. Thirumavalavan’s name.
