The Madras High Court has directed the CB CID to probe a racket in which six unemployed youth were cheated by some persons who promised them jobs and took hefty sums.
The culprits, who had been indulging in these white-collar crimes, should be dealt with an iron hand and awarded severe punishment, Justice S.Vaidyanathan observed. Considering the gravity of the offence, which had nationwide ramification, he was transferring the case to the CB CID with a direction to complete the probe in six months.
A. Perumal and five other unemployed youths paid large sums to the accused who promised them to get jobs.
