The City Crime Branch police have registered a case against K. Angamuthu, former Registrar of Periyar University, who committed suicide recently, and a few staff members of his office in connection with missing files.
The police registered the case under Sections 409 IPC (criminal breach of trust by public servant) against Angamuthu and staff of his office on December 18.
