MCC violation: case registered against AIADMK candidate

A case has been registered against the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate for Vilavancode Assembly constituency, Nanjil Dominic, and 99 others in connection with erection of flex boards at Kuzhithurai junction without obtaining permission from the authorities.

According to police, the supporters of Mr. Nanjil Dominic had erected a few banners at Kuzhithurai junction, violating the model code of conduct of the Election Commission of India on Thursday.

Based on a complaint lodged by Static Surveillance Team (SST), headed by Assistant Agriculture Officer Subash Rajan Bose of Melpuram, Kaliyakkavilai police have registered a case under Section 4 (A) (1) of the Tamil Nadu Open Places Prevention of Disfigurement Act, 1957 and the Amended Act, 1992.
