Capitalise on opportunities, engineering students told

The first year undergraduate classes at CK College of Engineering and Technology commenced recently. Dr. Arun V. Parwate, Principal of the college welcomed the new students and discussed the importance of discipline and positive thinking.

In his special address, D. Chandrasekaran, Director of CK Group of Institutions asked the students to capitalise on the opportunities that come their way. M.D. Sudharsan, Vice-president, Legal, Cavin Kare Pvt Ltd felicitated the students.

Student association

‘Egnites 16’, the student association of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) of CK College of Engineering and Technology was inaugurated recently. N. Kamalakannan, Head of the Department of EEE welcomed the gathering. In his special address, N. Sundararamann, Senior Manager, TAQA, Neyveli Power Company Pvt. Ltd emphasised on the need for positive attitude to achieve success in life. The office bearers of Egnites 16 were introduced by Jayashree, Assistant Professor of EEE.

Supply chain workshop

A one-day workshop on ‘Supply Chain Management Practices’ was held for students of Mechanical Engineering Department at the Manakula Vinayagar Institute of Technology recently. M. Dhanasekaran, Chairman-cum-Managing Director of Sri Manakula Vinayagar Educational Trust presided over the function.

R. Ganesan, General Manager of Axle India Ltd, spoke on the principles of Supply chain management and its basic importance. M. Aravendan, Assoicate Professor, Department of Leather Design, National Institute of Fashion Technology spoke on the opportunities available in logistics and transportation.

Educationist remembered

Annamalai University celebrated the112th birthday of Dr. Rajah Sir M.A. Muthiah Chettiar on August 5, 2016 by garlanding the statue in front of the campus of Rajah Muthiah Institute of Health Sciences.
