At least 60% of bus services were affected in Vellore as employees of Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) launched an indefinite strike on Sunday, according to S. Parasuraman, general secretary of CITU, Vellore.

By 3 p.m., nearly 50% of bus services, particularly town and mofussil services, stopped, he said. “By 6 p.m., 60% of bus services came to a halt,” he added.
