Power shutdown
There will be no power supply in the following places on November 24 due to shutdown at Sahara sub-station on November 24 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for maintenance work: Keeranatham, IT Park, Chinna Mettupalayam, Idigarai, Varudhiyampalayam, Vellakinar Housing unit, Athipalayam, part of Saravanampatti, Visvasapuram, Revenue Nagar, and Karattumedu.
November 25: (Kaniyur sub-station): Rasipalayam, Arugampalayam, Kaniyur, Sheeba Nagar, Kolluppalayam, Subarayampalayam, part of Thennampalayam, and Uthuppalayam.
Quiz contest
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India will organise a corproate quiz here on November 26 for higher secondary students. There is no entry fee and the quiz will focus on abbreviated names of business houses, identification of leading brands, events connected to famous industrialists and business groups. The aim of the event is to improve the knowledge among students on corporate affairs and to encourage entrepreneurial skills in them. The last date for receiving nominations is November 25. The Institute of Company Secretaries of India has said that various government bodies and departments provide scholarships and financial assistance to SC, ST, OBC, disabled and meritorious students.
The last date for admission for Company Secretaries executive programme level is November 30.
