The body of a Class 9 student who went to take bath in Thusur Lake was found floating here on Tuesday.
N. Vijai alias Viji (15), of Thusur, went to take bath along with his friends. However, he did not return home.
Search efforts by his parents failed and they lodged complaint with the police.
On Tuesday, his body was found floating in the lake. Enquiries revealed that he did not know swimming and got drowned.

A 24-year-old labourer of Omalur was arrested on charges of kidnapping a Plus Two girl here recently. The girl left for school 10 days ago, but did not return home. Search efforts by her parents failed and they lodged complaint with Omalur police. Inquiries revealed that P. Velliyankiri had kidnapped her. The police rescued her and arrested Velliyankiri and lodged him in prison.
