Kitty alias Uttam, one of the bookies involved in cricket betting case, used fake documents to activate more than 10 SIM cards and investigators were trying to analyse the call details of these numbers, the Crime Branch CID said.

Warning of stringent action against anybody helping the accused to escape from law, the agency said a Look Out Circular had been issued to apprehend Kitty. In a press release, the CBCID said investigation was progressing in the right direction and the provisions of law involved against the suspects were in accordance with the rules.

Investigation had revealed that a few other bookies also used fake documents to procure SIM cards, a CBCID official said, adding that appropriate sections of the IPC would be added in the case for the charge of forgery and impersonation.
