The body of a fisherman who went missing on Thursday after a fibre boat capsized off the Nagapattinam coast was washed ashore at Vanagiri near Poompuhar in the district on Friday morning.
Police identified him as C. Kumar, 39, of Thirumullaivasal near Sirkazhi. The fate of another fisherman, K. Thangaraju, is unknown. The body was later brought to the Sirkazhi Government Hospital for post-mortem. Marine Police have registered a case.
