AIADMK leader and supporter of T.T.V. Dhinakaran, Nanjil Sampath, on Wednesday blamed the BJP for the ongoing crisis within the AIADMK. This view was echoed by Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president Su. Thirunavukkarasar and others.
In response, BJP leaders said they had nothing to do with the AIADMK’s internal matters.
“They [the BJP] do not want a Dravidian party to lead Tamil Nadu. Mr. Dhinakaran has emerged as the sole leader of this party. This is their [BJP] attempt to destroy this leadership,” said Mr. Sampath.
‘Want stable govt.’
BJP leader and Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting M. Venkaiah Naidu said in Delhi that his party was not involved in the AIADMK’s affairs.
“Neither the BJP nor the Central government has any role or any interest in what is happening in the AIADMK,” he said.
Union Minister of State for Road Transport, Highways and Shipping Pon. Radhakrishnan also rubbished Mr. Sampath’s claim.

Tamilisai Soundararajan, BJP’s Tamil Nadu unit president, said, “These are baseless allegations [made by Mr. Sampath]. I should not even respond to such allegations. As far as I am concerned, we do politics the right way.”
