BHEL to set up thermal plant in Telangana

The Memorandum of Understanding reached between the Power Plant Piping Unit (PPU) of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited and the Telangana State Power Generation Corporation (TS GENCO) has given a positive outlook for the BHEL, said V. Ravindran, General Manager of PPU.

Speaking after unfurling the tri-colour at the PPU campus at Tirumayam near here on Monday, Mr. Ravindran said that the MoU was signed for setting up 800 MW capacity super critical thermal power plant in Khammam district in Telangana.

He said that another thermal power plants with a total generation capacity of 6000 MW capacity would be set up in Telangana in the next three years, for which another MoU had been signed with the TS GENCO. He honoured two employees – Sisir Bindu Mandal and Sunil Kumar Tiwari -- with gold medals in recognition of their services.
