The Consumer Club of Grace College of Education got the Best Club award for 2013-14 among the colleges in the district.

Symposium
A two-day national symposium on “Green and sustainable chemistry” was organised by the Department of Chemistry in Annai Velankanni College, Tholayavattam in Kanyakumarui district recently.
Rev. Fr. S. Xavier Benedict, Correspondent of the college, presided and released a souvenir.
Senior Scientist NIIST Kaustabh Kumar Mait received the first copy. J. Stephen Davis, Principal of Annai Velankanni College, inaugurated the symposium.
NSS special camp
The NSS Unit of St. Xavier’s Catholic College of Engineering was held for seven days at Kadiapattanam in Kanayakumari district recently.
A release from the college said that the NSS programme officers Dr. S.M.R. Joseph Ramesh and Prof. F. John Paul organised the camp.
