Beach clean-up

A beach clean-up programme was carried out at three locations here on Sunday evening. The programme was organised by ‘We Can Trust’, a non-governmental organisation. The volunteers reached Pearl City beach, Roche Park beach and another beach near port guesthouse and removed garbage.

Around 150 students of various educational institutions and representatives of various voluntary organisations rendered their service for the noble cause.

P. Vinayagamurthy, president, Thoothukudi Town Central Traders’ Association, Senthil Arumugam, coordinator of the programme, and others also took part in the programme.
