Robbery bid in Tiruchendur bank

An attempt to rob a bank was reported in North Car street in Tiruchendur on Saturday.

The manager of the nationalised bank lodged a complaint with the Tiruchendur Taluk police that the miscreants had gained entry by breaking open the windows.

They cut off CCTV surveillance at two places inside the bank.

Superintendent of Police Ashwin M. Kotnis inspected the scene of crime.

Fingerprint experts and sniffer dogs were pressed into service. Based on a complaint lodged by G. Duraibalan (44), the bank manager, a case has been filed.
