Bank employee dies in road accident

Killed in road accident

A 27-year-old bank employee was killed in a road accident early on Monday at Banashankari when he lost control of his two-wheeler and crashed into a pavement. He wasn’t wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

According to Banashankari traffic police, the victim Mallikarjun, a native of Andhra Pradesh, who was employed with the HDFC Bank here, was heading to his rented home in C.K. Achukattu on his motorcycle. Around 12.30 a.m., when he reached 3{+r}{+d}Stage on 100 ft Ring Road, he lost balance and crashed into the pavement.

Mallikarjun suffered severe head injuries following the accident and died on the spot. Eyewitnesses alerted the police and a traffic police team reached the spot and recovered the body after preliminary investigations. The victim’s body was sent for a post-mortem examination and further probe is under way.
