Bank celebrates mother's day

The mother's day celebrations were held by various branches of State Bank of Travancore by conducting week-long functions from May 9.

According to sources, activities included offering gift hampers to the mothers in maternity wards of Government hospitals, bringing a smile to the face of old mothers in old age homes by showering care and love on them and presenting them with gifts. Organising seminars and health care workshops for mothers marked the mothers day celebration.

As a part of the programme, State Bank of Travancore, Personal Banking branch distributed gift hampers to mothers of new born children in Government medical college hospital at Asaripallam.

The Assistant General Manager of SBT, V. Manimaran distributed the relief materials to the beneficiaries.
