Bail hearing adjourned

The hearing on the bail applications of two office bearers of the Ranipet SIDCO Finished Leather Effluent Treatment Company Limited has been postponed to February 23.

R. Amirthakatesan, managing director of the company and Subramaniyan, one of the directors, had moved separate bail applications. On Tuesday, Principal District Judge R.V.R. Deenadayalan adjourned the hearing to February 23, T. Rajasekar, public prosecutor said.

The duo was arrested by CB-CID on February 7 in connection with the wall collapse of a Secure Landfill Facility of the Common Effluent Treatment Plant operated by the company at SIDCO Industrial Estate, Ranipet. Ten workers were killed in the accident.
