Customers shopping at the Karpagam Cooperative Supermarket in Vellore will get their products packed in a bag that comes with a special message – Is your family ready to vote 100 per cent?

In a bid to motivate people to exercise their voting rights , the supermarket has printed the awareness message on its regular plastic bags.

“We have readied nearly 3,000 bags with the message. They are being distributed to customers from Saturday. These bags conform to the environment norms, as bags less than 40 microns thick have been banned,” said an official of the cooperative store.

Bill boards

Bill boards on the importance of voting have also been put up at the New Bus Stand, Green Circle, Old Bus Stand and Katpadi Chittoor Bus Stand.
