The President of the Vangal Cooperative Society, Balamurugan, created a flutter in front of the taluk office here by removing his shirt and dhoti.
He was protesting against the removal of his name and his wife Vidya from the final voter’s list released on April 29.
Mr. Balamurugan, who was disheartened by the removal, came to the taluk office and stripped off his dress.
He questioned the revenue officials for removing the names without any basis.
He withdrew the protest after the officials held negotiation with him.
