Five acres near Perundurai owned by Namakkal-based Kongunadu Emu and Foundry Farms will be auctioned under Tamil Nadu Protection of Investors Deposits Act, 1997.

The confiscated immovable property of the defunct firm at Pattakaranpalayam village will be auctioned by District Revenue Officer R. Satheesh as per the directive of the Special Court, Coimbatore, at 11am on March 19.

Rally

College students took out a rally and participated in a mini marathon organised by the Prohibition Enforcement Wing of Police Department and Excise Department to create awareness on dangers in illicit arrack consumption, on Tuesday.

The rally by students residing in SDAT (Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu) hostel, and those belonging to Kongu Arts and Science College was flagged off by District Collector S. Prabakar at the VOC Park. It culminated at Karunkalpalayam Girls’ Higher Secondary School.

Students of nursing colleges took part in the mini marathon from the VOC Park to taluk office.
