Association welcomes online system

The Vellore District Micro and Small Entrepreneurs Association (VDMSEA) has welcomed the government’s announcement for establishing an online single window system for issuing licenses to start micro and small enterprises.

Entrepreneurs have to obtain license and approval from different departments. The Chief Minister’s announcement to start an online facility during 2015-2016 has been welcomed, the association’s president M.V. Swamynatthan said in a release.

The association has also lauded the government’s allotment of Rs. 365.91 crore for the micro, small and medium enterprises department and announcement for establishing a development centre on public private partnership to enable skill development of entrepreneurs.

He expressed disappointment over the lack of announcement on a demand to increase the ceiling limit for sales tax exemption in Value Added Tax Act.
