Deputy Chief Minister and DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin has said that he and his brother and Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers M. K. Alagiri will work together to achieve the party’s goals and make the dreams of Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi a reality.

“Both of us will work as a double barrelled gun of the DMK. I said the same thing last year when I participated in the birthday function of Mr. Alagiri. I will reiterate the same thing today and both of us are determined to strengthen the party,” Mr. Stalin said here on Friday.

The Deputy Chief Minister visited Madurai to take part in a function to launch a book on Mr. Alagiri.

Mr. Stalin, who attended the function for a few minutes, said that he along with Mr. Alagiri would highlight the socio-economic policies of the DMK and strive towards its goals.

“Last year, we took an oath to work together and that will be done.”

The book was authored by S. Rethinavelu, senior president, Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The Chief Minister’s wife Dayalu Ammal and family members, including Kanimozhi, MP, along with Ministers and MLAs, participated.
