Array of events to mark Wildlife Week

As part of the wildlife week celebrations, the Forest Department has drawn up an array of programmes, including competitions for students and general public.

A scroll will be placed near the Gandhi Statue from October 4 to 6 during day time for the public to pen their slogans highlighting the importance of wildlife in not more than 10n words, a release from the department said.

Awareness rally planned

A rally to create awareness of the need to protect wildlife be would taken out from the Directorate of Forests and Wildlife on Cuddalore road to Bharathidasan Government College for Women on October 7, the release said.
