‘Aradhana’ held for Sri Jayendra Saraswathi

Marked by recitation of Vedic hymns and bhajans

The first aradhana for Sri Jayendra Saraswathi, who passed away on February 28, was held at the Kanchi Sankara Mutt here on Tuesday.

Recitation of Vedic hymns and bhajans followed the ceremonies that were performed at the Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Brindhavanam (the final resting place) in the morning.

Musicians perform

In the evening, shraddhanjali was performed by various musicians in the hall in front of the brindhavanam .

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and former Union Minister Murali Manohar Joshi were among those who participated in the aradhana held at the Mutt premises.
