The State and National Awards for service rendered to differently-abled under different categories are to be presented on the occasion of Independence Day.

Categories

The district administration has invited applications under the following categories for the State Awards: an NGO that has rendered excellent service to the differently-abled; an individual doctor and a social worker, who have rendered service to maximum number of differently-abled persons; an organisation that has given employment to maximum number of differently-abled persons; and a district cooperative society that has serviced differently-abled.

Under the National Awards category, differently-abled persons as trailblazers in self-employment and entrepreneurial ventures; differently-abled persons who have established themselves as role-models; persons who have brought innovative research/technical know-how in creating a product that has helped improve the quality of life of differently-abled; best website created for differently-abled; differently-abled children that have made a mark in any creative field; best differently-abled sportsperson will be recognised.

Eligible persons are requested to contact the office of the differently-abled welfare for applications and submit the same by July 6.
