Another UP man held for bank heist

March 15, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:46 am IST - KRISHNAGIRI:

Abrar, 24, from Uttar Pradesh was arrested on Friday in the Bank of Baroda heist case.

The first accused, Mohammad Shah Nawaz, was arrested recently from Chitradurga in Karnataka.

According to police, Abrar will be produced before the court on Sunday. Police are on the lookout for seven other persons in the case.

Even as the police are tight-lipped about the progress of the case, it is widely believed that a breakthrough by way of the first arrests will lead the police to the others involved in the midnight heist of January 24 at the Kundarapalli branch. - Staff Reporter
