Actor-turned-politician Karunas, who was elected to the Tamil Nadu Assembly on an AIADMK ticket, once again took to singing in the House on Tuesday and rendered the lines Amma Endral Anbu originally sung by Chief Minister Jayalalithaa in the MGR starrer Adimaippen .
Thanking the Chief Minister for various announcements in school and higher education departments, Mr Karunas said he was also a beneficiary of the nutritious meal scheme introduced by former Chief Minister MGR.
“I would serve the food for the students in my school and in return I will get some more upma . At times, I would even take the food home,” he said evoking appreciation from treasury benches, particularly from the Chief Minister.
