Annoyed Cong. worker floats ‘political party’

March 31, 2016 12:00 am | Updated 05:33 am IST - DHARMAPURI:

A disgruntled Congress worker’s bid to float a “political party’ rendered a comic relief here after the crowd turned out to be none other the party ‘founder’s’ own kin here. But this ‘Congress factionalism’ is one that has surely gone unnoticed.

Thus was birth of “Congress Jananayaga Makkal Katchi,”- a yet to be registered ‘political party” by M.S. Buthan of Harur, after the man arrived in Dharmapuri, with three other family members. Having made the announcement through the media groups on Whatsapp, Mr. Buthan, who claims to have been a Congressman for decades, however, had decided to float his own party, only with none to witness the event.

However, a confident Mr. Buthan has pledged his “party” support to the AIADMK. His first task was to mobilise 20,000 members, a number way below the votes required to retain the deposit.
