Anbumani launches road safety campaign

Former Union Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss on Wednesday launched a signature campaign to ensure road safety urging the State government to formulate a programme in this regard.

It was organised by the Pasumai Thayagam as part of the global campaign mooted by the United Nations Organisation as Decade of Action for Road Safety 2011-20.

Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss observed that 40 per cent of the road accidents were said to be due to drunk driving, especially in Tamil Nadu..
