Suspended DMK leader and former Union Minister, M.K. Alagiri, on Friday met ‘Superstar’ Rajnikanth at the latter’s Poes Garden residence, a day after he met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi on Thursday.

Emerging out of Mr. Rajnikanth’s residence after the 20-minute meeting, Mr. Alagiri, who was accompanied by his son Dhayanidhi Alagiri, said there was nothing political about it.

“Mr. Rajnikanth is my well-wisher and friend. I came here for my peace of mind. There was nothing political about the meeting,” he told reporters.

Mr. Alagiri added that he loved the songs in Mr. Rajnikanth’s upcoming movie ‘Kochadaiyaan’, the audio of which was released a few days ago.

“I loved the songs in the movie. I came to ask Mr. Rajnikanth for my son’s next film,” he pointed out. Mr. Dhayanidhi is a film producer.
