AIIMS team inspects site at Machuvadi

A team constituted by the Union Ministry of Health for identifying the site for establishing All India Institute of Medical Sciences visited Machuvadi near here on Thursday. About 200 acres of area is available here and it is one of the five sites identified by the State government for the proposal.

The team led by Dharitri Panda, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, visited the site.

She said the team would give a detailed report about the five locations recommended by the State government.

S. Ganesh, District Collector, accompanied the team.

The other members of the team are: J. Balachander from JIPMER, N.L. Sathish, Head of Engineering section of NIMHANS, Sachin Mahendru, architect, and L. Chandrasekharan, Under Secretary to Government of India.
