Removed from party
All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam general secretary and Chief Minister Jayalalithaa has removed Palanivel, 27{+t}{+h}ward secretary in Tiruchengode from primary membership who was recently arrested for murdering his daughter-in-law.
In a release, she said that his act is intolerable and asked partymen not to have contacts with him. On June 20, S. Sumathi of Sathuvacheri in Vellore district, married to Santhosh, was found murdered at her residence in Namakkal Town. Inquiries revealed that Santhosh parents did not like their son’s marriage with a girl from another community. The police arrested the parents and lodged them at prison.
