To enable high tension (HT) industrial consumers increase productivity, the State government has made arrangements to provide power in addition to the 10 per cent of power supplied during evening peak hours (6 p.m. to 10 p.m.) for lighting and security purposes on payment of reliability charges for uninterrupted supply.

An official release issued on Thursday stated that Tamil Nadu Electricity Board was providing 300 MW since November 1.

In addition, some of the consumers had requested the Board for power and arrangements had been made.

HT industrial consumers, who are keen to avail of power by paying reliability charges for uninterrupted supply during the evening peak hours, have been asked to approach TNEB, the release said.
